If you happen to log onto a Thursday evening conversation about film and storytelling, you will find a group exploring the intersection of media, psychology, and post-traumatic growth.
Our related Meetup network has grown to approximately 80 participants interested in film, storytelling, psychology, and post-traumatic growth.
The Post-Traumatic Growth & FVBT™ community on Skool is an educational and professional-learning space for examining how film, video, and digital storytelling relate to trauma theory, embodied experience, relationship-building, and post-traumatic growth.
What These Conversations Explore
Discussions in the community focus on how digital media, storytelling, and creative exercises can serve as tools for reflection, perspective-taking, and professional development.
For more than a decade, through my research, writing, teaching, and clinically informed professional work, I have explored how narrative and digital media intersect with human experience.
Film and video may become meaningful tools within an appropriate therapeutic relationship, but the medium itself is not the therapist and does not independently produce healing.
Coaching and Community: Educational and Developmental Services

These sessions and the community are not psychotherapy, clinical treatment, or a therapeutic relationship. The Skool community is designed for coaching, education, and professional development.
Membership includes educational coaching within the community’s nonclinical scope. Coaching focuses on clarification, creative or professional goals, practical next steps, and forward movement.
Coaching and community participation are educational and developmental services. They do not constitute psychotherapy, diagnosis, individualized mental-health treatment, or emergency support.
